“If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:3-5
The message that we get to hear day in and day out, here at Remnant Fellowship, is one that has taught us all exactly how to live out this verse and be the best servants we can be for our God.
In the month of February Ken and Charlotte Duncan are two individuals running after God’s own heart with a deep love for serving and staying connected to the truth on a daily basis. They have been recognized as the Volunteer of the Month.
Outreach Administrator Jenni Mendl explained, “It is both refreshing and convicting to have them here. They see the joy in giving back time and love to this ministry and they are selfless in this! I also get to witness their love for God, His Son Jesus and also for each other. It is such a sweet testimony to the goal of lifelong commitment to God and His church”
Not only being volunteers at church, this couple is also sweet volunteers at the Weigh Down Offices. Always in motion this couple is a constant, whether they are working at the front desk, answering phones, or back in the warehouse packaging and assembling. These two are unceasing when it comes to giving hearts and minds. As experienced members of the church these two are often seen as sweet grandparents to many of the youth in addition to having tremendously giving hearts.
“Undoubtedly, being at Weigh Down has increased and strengthened our faith! As we continue to learn more about God and what He wants for us, and as we get answered prayers, our love and awe of God grows. When we hear the numerous, life-changing testimonies of Weigh Down participants, it builds our faith and our dependence on Him in all situations, and we are motivated to go further. Our trust in Him has grown; we are more sensitive to His lead we are inexpressibly blessed by volunteering at Weigh Down!” explained Charlotte Duncan
The Weigh Down Offices are tremendously grateful for the servant like hearts of the Duncan’s and as it is so purely stated in Psalms we will all put our continue to put our hope in the Lord. SM
